They can be extremely aggressive if I don't feed them too.
Brownie doe not seem to like going back to eat his leftovers, I have never seen him to do this.VirginiaChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17282569773671179047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4513726410126955599.post-53679444305058618002012-08-21T02:04:16.762-04:002012-08-21T02:04:16.762-04:00I think Brownie leaves some back just to tease the...I think Brownie leaves some back just to tease them...he usually eats everything that he wants...he doesn't seem to like coming back to any leftovers.
The thing is with these birds is that they steal my neighbour's dog food too!
Some days I also feed them with bread scraps in the back garden. They're having gourmet meals everyday.VirginiaChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17282569773671179047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4513726410126955599.post-76470174301094722382012-08-20T22:38:14.908-04:002012-08-20T22:38:14.908-04:00Poor Brownie. As far as I can remember she has never left anything on her plate.
We do have magpies and pigeons stealing the chicken food if they can though.Roslynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04940119240313980400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4513726410126955599.post-76024985992859864982012-08-20T19:04:55.247-04:002012-08-20T19:04:55.247-04:00I've come across grackles before in Australia ...I've come across grackles before in Australia where they are considered a nuisance and a threat to native birds. I suspect that they are not the Quiscalus lugubris but probably a related species. It comes to something though when a self-respecting canine can't even leaves something for a bit later.Graham Edwardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11196744947133121475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4513726410126955599.post-21535069729323306062012-08-20T18:08:02.789-04:002012-08-20T18:08:02.789-04:00They're too fast for him........doves, pigeons...They're too fast for him........doves, pigeons, chickens, lizards, mice, centipedes, yes, but never a blackbird....maybe one of these days.VirginiaChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17282569773671179047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4513726410126955599.post-11194635290518740252012-08-20T14:05:53.571-04:002012-08-20T14:05:53.571-04:00I hope he catches one one day.
