My in-house decorator

Guess what?
I now have an in-house decorator.  I never thought in a million years that I would be able to afford such a luxury.  It's a free service from what I can tell. No formal contract was signed, so I have no idea when my good fortune will run out.
It's been a pleasure having him around........??????

This space is much too cramped........it defeats the purpose.

This isn't quite right either.

Aaaahhhhhh....this is just right.

He has re-arranged all of the terra cotta pots on the patio in various places......to positions where they are more "visibly enhanced".......obviously my eye for detail was lacking in this respect.
There seems to be some Feng Shui  involved as well.  My yin and yang were way off course according to him.  My space alignment is now perfect.
Thank goodness for my in-house decorator....what on earth would I do without him?

    1. My girlfriend tells me he now thinks "he's to the manor born."
I guess he can call the shots now, since he has started moving stuff around to suit himself, and I have allowed it.
      Contentment indeed!

  2. If only I could persuade Bella and Onslow to limit their home decorating to moving the furniture. Instead, they have taken to eating cushions they don't quite like the look of, attempting to dig holes in my sofa, and gnawing on my steps and outdoor furniture. Brownie couldn't have a quiet word/bark with them, could he?

    1. Oh my, Bella and Onslow are working as a tag team, there is no way you are going to win that fight.
In my last clan of six bow wows were two girls Misty and Buffy, who thought it a good idea to reconstruct the sofa one day I was at work. They were escorted to the back yard from that evening. They did not even whimper for they KNEW they had done wrong.
I can send Brownie over to have a word with your two, but somehow I believe he would be inducted into their hall of shame.

  3. Hi Virginia!
Looks like you are a new blogger yourself just like me :)
I almost give up blogging myself because of an untoward incident in my life. But with strong support from Autumn Belle, I'm writing again. How's your leg? Is it healing fast? Got to be careful there with the wet weather. By the way, Brownie is so adorable :))
    Take care.

    1. Hello, nice to see you here. I am glad that you have not given up blogging. I enjoyed reading your blog. I enjoy Autumn Belle's as well.
My leg is coming along. It's at the stage now where it's itchy, so I know the healing process is taking over. Just hoping it doesn't scar too badly.
Yes, Mr. Brownie is adorable and a joy to have around.

    1. Wished he would really help me do some of the hard work around here...not really, he does keep me company when I'm working.

  5. I have a similar decorator. She adds holes to the garden and carries her dog food bowl, as well as the bowls of the other three dogs, around the house. OK - she doesn't carry the bowls all at the same time but I never know where I'll find them. :o) Your dog is adorable!

    1. Funny that you should mention how the dogs carry their bowls around....Brownie does not do that. I have only seen him digging in the garden once, out near the bridge where he saw a lizard disappear quickly.
However, I had two bow wows before, Shaggy and Boogles (father and son), that if the other males were taking too long to eat the small remains, would take up the bowls of food in their mouths and move it to another area to finish it off amidst growls and snarls. I would always intervene however since these incidents were few and far between. They never did this to the females though.

  6. He has a mischevous look and he seems to have taken a liking for your pottery wares. Besides, the colour of his fur coat blends well with the decor.

    1. Autumn Belle, he really is a good dog, not mischievous at all.
You are right he does blend right in with the pots on the patio. Sometimes I am trying to find him, and I miss him completely, then I see his black nose poking out, and there he is.
