Happy Father's Day!!

I miss my Dad.
I remember him every day with his gentle manner and his never ending source of knowledge that he shared with everyone around him.
Back then there was no world wide web, just a set of Collier's Encyclopedias on the bookshelf.
Whenever I needed to find out the why, what, or wherefore of some unknown subject,  I would seek him out and he would explain everything, making it as simple as apple pie.

My Dad taught me how to change a light bulb, how to drive, operate power tools, appreciate good music, and how not to take nonsense from "the boys."

A natural DIYer and a true McGyver, he could make or fix anything under the sun. I inherited my inquisitive "what makes things tick" nature from him.

He was not one to show his love with lots of hugging and kissing but the twinkle in his eye and the nod of his head as he showed his approval was enough for me.
Never ever did he raise his hand to share lashes when we were kids....just one look said it all.....we respected him and the earth he walked on immensely.
I do miss him.

To all the wonderful fathers out there, I want to wish you a Happy Happy Father's Day!!!
