It's the night before my birthday

"The grasshoppers, crickets and bats
sending chords of melody
above the tweets of late sparrows
tree perching in the dusk.
My ear on the pillow
harmonizing.
My nose
in the wind blowing fragrance
of Lady-in-the-night through the window.
My nostrils in the first gear of snoring.
I waft sweetly off to sleep.
It's the night before my birthday.

Happy Birthday from A1 Supermarkets

Do you like your supermarket?  I shop at several supermarkets depending on the prices offered for the items that I need.
One of those supermarkets is owned and operated by a people person Managing Director who writes poetry and prints them on birthday cards that are mailed to every single membership shopper for the occasion.   How nice is that?
I've been receiving birthday cards every year from this supermarket for many many years, but the poem this year is just right for tonight......the night before my birthday.
