It's only paper!

Included in my spring cleaning was my email Inbox, which somehow always accumulates lots of "stuff that I intend to get back to" but somehow never do.
Amongst the residing emails was this one, which I saved because I found it interesting, since I love origami and paper sculpting.
I hope you enjoy.

"By Canadian paper artist Calvin Nicholls. There is nothing simple or ordinary about his paper art. Where we would simply use a piece of paper and a pair of scissors, Calvin uses everything you could possibly think of to carve, cut and rip perfect details onto his creations. The motifs are all wildlife, and that must be one of the hardest categories of things to make with paper since there are sometimes impossible details on animals. These details are amazing and I can't even fathom the time it must have taken to create these masterpieces of art."

I have been thinking seriously about these paper art images. Mr.Brownie is an expert paper shredder, maybe I can have him hone his skill to achieve some masterpieces like these....hhmmmm.

I also found a Youtube video that you may like.

    1. They're masterpieces for sure.
I don't think I would have the patience to sculpt one, since it looks quite detailed and time-consuming, but the result is fantastic.

I have always meant to try creating one, and to this end purchased a book "Paper Sculpture: A step-by-step guide" which to this day still sits on my bookshelf.
Creating a paper sculpture is on my Bucket List......maybe this year.
