Preserving Bora Bora beans

At the market early last week, I came across some fairly large bags of bora bora beans at a great price.  I love them in my stir-frys and veggie stews.

Bora bora beans can go off quite quickly if not used in a timely manner, therefore it is necessary to freeze them.
To make sure that they are clean before storing in the freezer, a good rinsing is in order......

Cut the beans into small bite size pieces
The beans came bagged from the market. I divided the bag into four equal parts and used it to make four small packets of beans for the freezer.
Four good portions for four meals

These were then placed in a zip lock bag and stored in the freezer with my other store-bought frozen veggies.
Now they're ready to go whenever I need them.
I guess other freshly picked veggies from the garden may be stored this way as well.

  1. Do you blanche them before freezing or freeze them raw?
